Mangroves are guardians of Coastal ecosystems

Mangroves are more than just trees. They are important ecosystems that provide a home for many different plants and animals. They also help to protect our coastlines from storms and erosion.

In Antigua and Barbuda, mangroves can be found along the coastlines of both islands. They are a type of wetland, which means that they are areas of land that are saturated with water. Mangroves have special roots that help them to survive in this wet environment.

These ecosystems provide shelter for young fishes, protect soil from being washed away by storms and erosion and are an important source of food and medicine for the community.

I think mangroves are amazing creatures, and I'm glad that they live in Antigua and Barbuda. They are an important part of our environment, and we need to do everything we can to protect them.
